Of course, you could buy some apple wedges & a tub of caramel dip in your produce department for an easy & crowd-pleasing snack. BUT – if you are following this blog, you aren’t ordinary. You are extraordinary! Here’s how you can WOW your guests with something as simple as a caramel apple dip.
THE PRODUCE MOM’S SEA SALT CARAMEL APPLE-TIZER
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
- coarse sea salt
- Garden Cut apple wedges
Melt Butter, Brown Sugar & Honey in a saucepot over medium-high heat
Stir until blended & fully melted
Increase heat & bring caramel to a boil. Stirring constantly, allow it to boil for 2 minutes.
Stir in Sweetened Condensed Milk & reduce heat to medium
Stir for approximately 2 minutes, until you have a smooth, milky caramel. Sauce will thicken upon sitting
Dip Garden Cut Apple Wedges into caramel sauce, sprinkle with sea salt. Enjoy!
The Time Saver….
Pour the sauce into a serving bowl, liberally sprinkle salt over caramel. Serve Garden Cut Apple Wedges on the side & allow your guests to dip – but not double dip!!!
