Oven Roasted Grapefruit

If you haven’t figured it out yet – I love the simple joys.  I love seeing a kid walk to school holding hands with a parent.  I love looking out my kitchen window & seeing frost on my boys’ swingset.  I love when I unexpectedly run into a best friend at the grocery store or the mall.  And I love oven-roasted grapefruit.

A simple halved grapefruit is your grandma’s breakfast.  Be a breakfast diva.  And don’t isolate this to just breakfast food, either.  An oven-roasted grapefruit tastes great at 11pm when you really have no business eating, but must eat something.

4 INGREDIENTS… I told ya it was a simple joy!

Fresh Grapefruit – I used pink grapefruit, but you could use any color!

Sweetener - I used Agave Nectar, but you can use honey, sugar, brown sugar, stevia, etc.

Spice - Cinnamon.  So simple.

Nuts – Pecans or Walnuts.  I used Pecans

STEP 1

Halve & De-seed Grapefruits.  Drizzle Agave Nectar (or your sweetener of choice) over grapefruit halves.

STEP 2

 Top with nuts & cinnamon

Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees

FINISHED – I mean…. are you kidding me?  Yes… It’s that easy & Yes… It tastes as good as it looks.

Serve it to the 1-upper in your life!

This is a GREAT recipe! I’ve made it several times. I usually don’t use the pecans & serve it w/ eggs. :) Thanks for posting it!
